Days 20-22 Shred

Friday, August 26, 2011

Okay things have been super busy and finding time to blog has been pretty low on the priority list. After all getting the garden produce cared for and into the freezer is far more important at this point in time and took up my entire night on Wednesday. But here is a recap of the past few days.

Tuesday Day 20
I have lost my push to do just the shred, but I have been still making sure to do workouts that are of a similar level. So again I did the Biggest Loser, Cardio Blast, nice to mix it up. I keep at it better with some variety, and that way my body is able to recover as there are different areas of focus for the major stress. AF also decided to come a knocking a couple days early, no wonder I was so short tempered.

Wednesday Day 21
Day started out better, got the kids down for naps getting ready to work out and my husband called home from work...his gps (personal) was stolen from the work van, while he was working 3 feet away. Really upset about it, just bought the blasted thing a couple months ago and it saved him so much time commuting. We have decided to replace it in a couple weeks, but it will only be used on personal time, thus going and coming from work. Going site to site he will use the map book, after all it is company time and he will use what they supply. And he plans to make a lock box that will be mounted to the floor of the van as well. But after that I did get the Shred done, I had plenty of frustration to deal with at that point, but not upset with him at all, its work that pushes him, we are both irriated about that. I spent all night getting the beans de-ended, washed and frozen.

Thursday Day 22
Decided to try something new again, and broke out the Biggest Looser Last Chance Workout, and yup last chance to survive. I'm feeling it a little now today, but not that bad all in all. It moves quick, keeps your body guessing, and it actually helped me to break past the 185-186 I've been toying with the past while. I had class last night, which was frustrating in that my students just are not where I expect them to be, a previous instructor did not do their job teaching them the basics and now they don't think knowing it is all that important, but it is! I was doing a demo massage and asked a muscle question which I expected a quick response, and I got nothing, and finally someone asked if they should look in the book. All I said was "if thats what it takes, then yes" So after class I was talking to our newer instructor, its her second quater, and its so nice to have someone on the same page with me, and it made her feel better hearing that I was getting frustrated and having issues as well. (she taught the same class last quater) We ended up chatting for almost 45 minutes out in the parking lot after work, so needless to say it was late when I got home, almost midnight. Man thats rough with 2 wake ups during the night and up at 6:15 for the day. But we will survive.
And now today I plan to do the shred again, and making homemade spaghetti for dinner. Fresh veggies from the garden, can't wait!
