I have improved my stamina and fitness. I now walk over 30 minutes at least 4 or 5 days a week. I also now ride my stationary bike for 40 minutes or more usually 2 times a week. I have also joined several Spark Teams and added more goals to reach on a weekly basis. I am also finding lots of lovely support from people on the teams that have also become friends.
I still plan to measure myself but not a real top priority for me. I am almost down to my first target weight. Due to having Lupus I feel my main goal is to be Happy, Healthy and feel good about myself. I will continue to exercise and try to eat healthy. I finally have my cholesterol levels down in the healthy range and my doctor is happy where I am at. So my main goal is to keep active and keep pushing myself when appropriate for me.
Eating is hard for me. I have Gastroparesis and because of inflammatory issues and having a pureed diet the food choices are minimal. There are many things I would love to eat (that are healthy) that do not work well in my digestive tract. I sure do miss broccoli. I love spinach but that gets pretty boring eating it a lot. I also can enjoy yams and some squashes. Meat is an issue for me and lately even pureed meat doesn't always sit well. I do miss meat though. My friends used to know as a "Lioness" who loves her red meat. On the positive side I eat real healthy now except not enough. So it's a fine line with getting more fitness and eating enough food to be able to exercise more.
I also plan to add some more recent pictures soon from our summer family reunion with my Son and his lady friend, my daughter, her husband and 4 kids plus my sister's son and of course my Wonderful Loving husband Jeff. We all had a marvelous time in the Sierra Nevada's in Northern California where my son lives & works. Note: the photos on here now are all about one to two years old.
