This past week started out very well. I was on a roll, really racking up the fitness minutes and working really hard. It was my first week of school, so I was trying to figure out a routine that is going to work for my life back at work full time.
It turned out to be one of the worst first weeks of school in my career... It was very stressful and frustrating, I'm ready for everything to get back to normal at work. I spent a lot of time worrying about things that were out of my control and dealing with a co-worker that was very demanding and micromanaging. It has let up a little, but there are still several tense moments throughout the day.
On the up side, we got our first showings for our house last week. As I said, I started the week really strong and that lasted until Thursday afternoon, because our realtor called and said she wanted to show the house. We had an hour to get it ready, pick up the kids from daycare and get out of Dodge. The showing went really well, the couple stayed for almost an hour, then brought their whole family to look at it on Sunday. Our realtor said the clients were down to choosing between two houses, and we were one of them! We haven't heard back in a couple days so I'm guessing they didnt' chose ours, but it was still pretty exciting to have the house only on the market for a week and have a serious buyer already! :) That was pretty uplifting.
I am happy to say that I acheived my goal for last week, and that was to try Fire 60. It was awesome, I totally loved it! I think that will be a regular for me in my routine!
My goals for this week:
- continue to incorporate my previous goals (add cardio to strength days, do Fire 60)
- try HIIT 30 for the first time
Hope everyone else is doing well! It's almost the end of the month, my birthday is in less than a week! Time sure flies.
