That's Life...

Monday, August 22, 2011

Life has thrown me a curve ball. In April my house caught on fire. It can be fixed. Had no insurance. Working on trying to get it the bare minimal fix - electric and roof. I am doing most of the cleaning walls, depopcorning the ceilings myself. With the help of friends - our stuff has been packed and moved to storage. With their help things have been cleaned or trashed, etc. So pray - My family and I need to get back into our house in November. There is a fund at a local bank people have been donating to - Just to get us back into the house. Just like most people - have too much credit card debt to get the loan I needed to fix my house where I could paint, etc. But I have a great credit score. I own my house and I am paying down my debt and not using it. I haven't given up. But 1st couple of months were rocky as far as my mood but I am over that now. I thank God for all the blessing I have received and the help with decluttering (LOL).
I have had to listen to people say - abandon your home & property, buy someone else's proplem or you are going to have to find a place (to rent). Those are not great options for me. If I rent - will not be able to pay down my credit very well. I would still own the house - and could sell it as is but I would probably lose money there too. Someone has to pay the realtor and property taxes.

So I am determined to fix my home and live in it and insure it! Since this has happened I know I have lost weight - don't know how much - when I do - will post it.
