To Bare the Facts and Keep me accountable for Aug.

Thanks to NOMORESTALLING I am going to bare the bare facts and see if it won't keep me accountable also. So everyone help here please.

I believe I could be termed the slowest loser but I am really determined to do this.

I am right now exercising 4 days a week at Curves with Zumba at the recovery station. I have enjoyed this because it does not seem like exercise. I try and plan my menus for a week ahead and do my grocery shopping that helps me to stay on track plus it is already entered in for the day. Then I add my snacks that I might have during the day. I have tried and not completely cut out all diet sodas but I have really cut back the amount that I consume. My biggest goal is I would like to lose 20 lbs. by the time I take a cruise the first week in November.

School has started and I substitute at 5 or 6 different schools and now will be my hardest time to get in that 4th day of exercise. My plan since I now have the Zumba CD that we use at Curves is to try and do the Zumba at home for at least 30 min. I did this Saturday and I was really tired but I worked out anyways. I have also found a Zumba Class that meet right after school on Wednesday. So I plan to try that one also. It is an hour long class.

    WOW!!!
Our body builds are almost identical!!!!
I went to my Doc's today and showed him my nutrition and fitness trackers...I've been frustrated at the lack of weight loss ...... but then he asked me about what other methods of measurements I was using to monitor change.
Increase in strength was one.
Losing inches is another!
Starting to love the oxygen high after a great workout is a definite 3rd!
Wanting that cold glass of water versus a soda is 4th.........
.....and my list continued.
Well he shook his head at me and told me to ignore the scales for a while and enjoy all of the other positives I'm noticing!
Enjoy yours too! emoticon

We always want everything to happen RIGHT NOW but going about losing weight slowly is not a bad thing! In fact, I was just reading an article on SP last night that losing slowly helps your skin have time to adjust instead of having tons of loose skin. Although it may not seem like it, you are right on track for doing things the RIGHT WAY! Congrats on your progress and on your courage to post these measurements. Be sure to total up how many TOTAL inches you have lost. It's amazing as you start to figure out how much less room you are taking up in a room! Good job! emoticon
