My fight to get well and lose weight!!!

Sunday, August 21, 2011

My ribs have been hrting me off and on since last June and the doctors still don't know what is wrong with me. Everytime I think I am well enough to start back working out my ribs start hurting all over again. This past Monday I started back walking and now 6 days later my ribs are hurting once again. emoticon I am so depressed I just dont know what to do with myself.
I guess anything worth having is worth working for. right!
So now I am trying to keep up a good fight and not give up.

I'm sorry you're struggling sister. It is so frustrating when we want to take care of our bodies and they won't work with us! But this is all temporary. Soon, we will all be feeling young and healthy and vibrant! In the mean time, do what you can and rely on prayer with our wonderful Creator. emoticon

Came across your blog and can not help but wonder if you could have Fibromyalgia. Mine started out in a different area, however did go into my ribs at one point.....very painful. May want to talk to your doctor about that or do some research online yourself. Whatever is causing your ribs pain I hope that you find the answer soon. Take care~~Kelly

I don't have any answers on this but I did google "aching ribs" and found all sorts of discussion about it. You may want to try reading some of all that to see if anyone else's issues match your own and what answers they found. i did copy this comment, though: "Look up the symptoms costrochondritis. Inflammation of the cartilage between the ribs. " You might want to do that also.

SO sorry to hear of your pain and health issues. This system is so filled with troubles!!! Gentle emoticon

Sometimes (or most of the time) we know our bodies best. We have to be our own advocates. Research, read etc. etc.

Wish you the best, now that you have found the solution.

That really has to be hard to deal with. Have you checked with a Chiropractor to see if you have anything out? Years ago after a hard fall, I began having headaches. It was always there, some days worse than others. Lasted 3 years. Then I started having pain in my back. First one side would draw in then the other. They put me through thousands of dollars in tests etc and even though I asked them if it could all stem from the fall, they all said no, impossible.

I fired my Dr and went to another. Within 30 min., and my having told him of the fall, he said the whole left side of my neck and back were all pushed in and out and inflamed and that the plates it my head were jammed. It took hi, 3 month to remedy a 3 year issue. BTW he was a Naturepath, MD.
