Recovering from C-Section after Surrogacy

Sunday, August 21, 2011

The day finally arrived this past week. My niece was born via c-section. Giving birth to her was such a different experience from delivering my own three kids. Every pregnancy and delivery is truly unique.

I'm still very tired and uncomfortable, so this will be a short blog. My brain is starting to wrap itself around what needs to be done to recover my body now. I'm still nearly six weeks away from being cleared to exercise, but I've started focusing on my nutrition. Today I came back to SP and changed my starting weight. I'm looking forward to making progress again moving downward on the scale and just generally getting healthy again.

I plan to write more about our experience soon, but my brain is still cloudy, so writing more details will have to wait. Suffice it to say for now that looking into my niece's face stills my heart. She is such a blessing for us all. I look forward to the future in so many ways.

Excited to walk the SP path again and make a difference in my life...and others.

This is my beautiful niece! Amazing that she came from such a tiny 8 cells in my previous post to this...God is so good!
