Had a birthday party today for my grandson who was 5 yesterday. One of his friends' mom and I were talking and I found out she has started walking and going to the gym. I'm so proud of her. We have made a date to walk at the lake on Tuesdays and Thursdays once school starts in another week. We can keep each other motivated. She has a plan and if she sticks to it once school starts for her as well as the kids, she will be out of the plus sizes by her graduation in May!! I'm going to be part of her support system and I know it will also help me lose more weight. I want and need to get into the onderfuls before I will be able to have the foot surgery I need. That is only 14 pounds away but it might as well be to the moon the way my scale has been acting. Down one and up two. not a good thing.
I haven't posted my weight in a month or more because I am still over the 213 I last posted. I also realized this morning, I can't walk more than two days in a row because of my foot. Today it is so painful it is a problem to even walk...just standing up is painful. So I'm off walking on Saturday and Sunday. Will walk on Monday and Tuesday, Zumba on Wednesday and walk on Thursday and Friday. I just hope the doctor doesn't chew me out because of my walking schedule. I know it is the only exercise I can do to help me with the weight loss. I don't have a gym membership and right now can't even afford one if I did want it. I have to do something.
I did share SparkPeople.com with her and I will find out a week from Monday what she thought of it. I know she has been trying to lose weight for at least a year now. I'm just hoping she follows thru on it this time.
