Day #15 Discipline pays off

Saturday, August 20, 2011

I'm a day behind on my blogging, but thats ok. I'm thinking as long as I blog atleast 5 days a week, I'm doing good. It's mainly just a journal for my own benefit, a vent for my frustration. So, I have been completely truthful and precise on tracking all my food, every day. And it is really paying off. This week alone, I have lost 4 pounds with no deprivation. I just account for the calories and exercise to counteract any over endulgance. Thursday I ran, and then I had pizza and cake at a party, Yesterday I ran, and then ate a chili burrito at a local mexican restaurant with chips and salsa. I tracked it all, and monitored what I ate throughout the day and I wasn't disappointed when I stepped on the scale. I have about 3 pounds to lose and I'll be at my lowest weight in atleast 6 years. I can't wait !!!! That is motivating me beyond belief. I slept in a little bit this morning and then made myself go jogging. Now I know why I have been getting up at 6am to run, the humidity and just plain heat was awful this morning. And I actually ended up stopping about 10 minutes early. I still ran the same as usual, just cut out some of my walking. Weekends are the hardest for me, so I'm trying extra hard to stay on track. I just have to be careful today, because I work tomorrow, and never have problems watching what I eat at work. Just keep tracking and exercising and I know I will reach my goals.
