Damn You, Peanut Butter Cups!

Thursday, August 18, 2011

Good Morning, all! How are ya?

I'm a little embarrassed to admit this BUT:

Yesterday afternoon I gobbled SIX Reese's Cups in pure boredom. I was very annoyed with myself bc I knew it wasn't going to help my run. I marched right up to the candy bin and wrote on a bright pink sticky note: JEN! NO MORE CANDY! OINK! I drew a cute little picture of a piggie on it. It's a great reminder not to eat candy bc I'm bored. It's not helping anyone.

Funny thing about my run yesterday. Urgh! I felt heavy, I felt jittery, I felt so gross. I completed 2 miles but I was having some GI upset (no doubt from those pesky Reese's) so I didn't do the full four miles I was planning. I felt bleck but my time was the best ever for 2 miles....25:54! Go figure! I felt crappy though, my body felt slow.

You live, you learn, right?

I'm excited b/c we leave to NH tomorrow and I'm excited, I probably won't be able to get on even to spin the wheel, but please keep me posted on you while I'm gone!

I'm packing my running shoes and have three runs planned while I'm away. Bring it!

Thanks for reading and the support as always!

When we were passing thru SLC airport, way-laid by the Rocky Mtn Chocolate Factory: they make super-size PB cups & Z had to have one! (ahem, that means I had to sample their dark-chocolate version as well)

Fortunately their creamy PB center is NOT anywhere near as good as Reese's; somehow the consistency is not quite right - so they will be easy to resist in the future!

UNfortunately Reese's are still sold openly, almost everywhere I go...

(Have a great trip to NH anyway)

Peanut butter cups are totally my weakness! I can eat like 2 packages that contain 4 each, in like 10 minutes. LOVE them!

Sounds familiar - too many PB cups always means a gross sluggish run in my world!! The worst is when I know I have a run in a few hours but I just can't help myself!

Have a wonderful time in NH!

yea those PB cups are little evil deliciousness arent they? and what I want to know is, when did they make them so small? They are like 2 bites now and they used to be bigger so you really probably really only ate like 3 of them.. (see how I did that???).

I hate those Reese's cups the same way you do. Why did someone have to start making chocolate in the first place? Anyway, have fun on your trip!
