Once you go big, you'll never go twig!

Tuesday, August 16, 2011

So this is the tagline from a new show on TLC called Big Sexy about plus-size girls who have the highest self-esteem that I have ever seen. These girls are fabulous and they go out and have fun and don't mind being on TV wearing bathing suits and revealing clothing. Even if you do not agree with the premise of this show because you believe it may be glorifying an unhealthy lifestyle, you must give these women props for making big girls look sexy. I need some more confidence and maybe this is just the show that I need. No I am not getting paid any money by the TLC network, but I cannot wait for this show to debut on August 30th. I believe that the show is set in Los Angeles, and I know that that city is known for size 00 being normal. If this show were set in East Tennessee where I live, then I do not think that this show would have the same impact. The public may expect people who live in the south to be bigger because of our collective love for things deep-fried and/or covered in sugar. So watch it or not, but I'm happy that something like this has made it to the television.

I love curvy girls, but I don't agree with the statement "once you go big you never go twig"
I went big and I liked it, but I still at the end of the day be with straight size girl who hasn't the same insecurities as a big one, no matter how much confidence they show it is pushed honestly, they are in constant internal conflicts no matter how you try to reassure them that they are so stunning... too many issues with the big girls, sorry I love you but I can't afford to live with someone I cherish and love but who in return try to make me feel guilty for no reason for their size problems... everything is always so sensitive and you have to constantly walk on egg shells for fear to say the wrong thing!
Looking forward to watch the show!!

I haven't seen the preview of the show, but I hope it not only shows as WILLSMOMMY2 said that just cause you are bigger doesn't mean you aren't FABULOS...and Healthy. Not every small person is healthy and not every person over a 00 is unhealthy. I'm going to keep my eye out for the show. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.
