I have now lost just over seven pounds in five days. I know it isn't something I can expect to have happen every week. It may all be water weight. But I DO NOT CARE! It has given me the boost I need. My goal seems a bit more possible now.
I have been focusing on eating vegetables at every meal. They always fill up half my plate. I don't care for a lot of vegetables, and the ones I like always seem to be so pricey. Then I started thinking about how much money I plunk down for an order of fries and a shake. Hmmm.... maybe those veggies aren't that expensive!
The large plates in my cabinet are getting lonely. I've quit using them. A full salad plate looks more satisfying than a half full dinner plate. Sometimes I have to trick myself....
Keeping track of my calories on SP has helped a lot. I enter everything in as soon as I can. I feel accountable. And I have found that every day I have a few extra calories for a treat. Those treats make me feel like I've been 'cheating'. I love knowing I won't have to give up my favorite things to be healthier. Moderation is key!
