oh my ward it takes forever.. the selve turned out orange/red I was so upset i could live with the buffa but was not real happy with it. i then went to walmart and got a small can of early american something like that a more yellow based stain i put it on the book selve a goood coat of it and it is beautful... so i put s thin coat real thin on the buffa. oh my word it is beautiful now perfect... how i got that how it turned out is cause Heavenly Father had mercy on me and helped me to pick the right stain to work with.I guess he was stressed cause i kept praying about it.. for help hahahah
your rocker what i would do is get a very coarse sand paper. and i would go with the grain and just sand it real good tell you get ll the paint off. i beat it is peeling cause there is stain underneath the green someone did not do it right but just painted over it instead of stripping it first. when you just paint over stain it almost always peels and flakes. i know cause i did the same thing. i thought stain and paint where the same stuff so they worked together wrong...

You are so good at this stuff. Too bad you are not here, I have a rocker that is peeling lime green, and with my lack of skills it will stay this way!

My husband decided to stain our oak floor. Her grabbed a can and NEVER looked at what it was. Not only that, he painted the hole floor with BLACK PAINT. Yep, you guessed who got to strip the paint off the floor. I hope I never have to trip anything again.
