Review of August Week 2

Monday, August 15, 2011

It's time to see how I did last week.

1. Nourish myself

Goal 1 - Eat at least 6 servings of freggies every day.
emoticon Most days. This is a goal I will continue with.

Goal 2 - Control the portions I am choosing.
emoticon This I am pretty successful at.

Goal 3 - Journal my food.
This is a fail. I did not journal any of my food. Here lies my problems because although I am controlling my portions, I know I am still eating too much. And even though I am getting more fruits and veggies in, I know I am still eating too much junk and sweets.

So I succeeded at two of my three Nourish goals.

2. Move my body

Goal 1 - Exercise 10 minutes every day.
I didn't get in any exercise last Monday or Tuesday, but I did exercise the rest of the week. I got in 240 exercise minutes, so I am good with this goal. emoticon

Goal 2 - Plan a strength routine for upper body, lower body, and core. Practice those exercises.
I am still working on this one. Why is strength so hard for me? I think it is because it is new to me. Cardio is easier because I am so familiar and comfortable with it. I do have a routine for my upper body, so hopefully I will get this done this week for my core and lower body.

All in all, I'm satisfied with my progress in my Exercise goals.

3. Expand my mind and heart

Goal 1 - Meditate 10 minutes a day
I did meditate several days, so this is a habit in progress.

Goal 2 - Organize the books I want to read. Make a plan.
I do have my books organized, and actually studied this weekend. I am still working on a plan, trying to figure out what will fit in my schedule.

This area is definitely still a work in progress as I try to give these things the priority status they deserve.

4. Fire up my creativity

Goal 1 - Finish cleaning and organizing my craft room.
I have my desk cleaned off, and have started on my work table. I hate cleaning and organizing. LOL

Goal 2 - Organize my WIPs. Make a plan.
I do have the ones I want to be working on in a pile. I'm still working on this.

Goal 3 - Stitch 15 minutes a day.
emoticon This goal is never a problem! Stitching is the highlight of my day.

So, all in all I'm satisfied that I am making progress. I can see the areas I need to work on.

Goals for Week 3 (August 15 to 21):

1. Nourish myself
Goal 1 - Eat at least 6 servings of freggies every day.
Goal 2 - Drink 80 ounces of water a day.
Goal 3 - Track my food and count WW points.

2. Move my body
Goal 1 - Exercise 10 minutes every day.
Goal 2 - Plan a strength routine for lower body and core. Set up a weekly schedule.
Goal 3 - Stretch every day.

3. Expand my mind and heart
Goal 1 - Meditate 10 minutes a day
Goal 2 - Make a plan for my spiritual studies.

4. Fire up my creativity
Goal 1 - Finish cleaning and organizing my craft room.
Goal 2 - Organize my WIPs. Make a plan.
Goal 3 - Stitch 15 minutes a day.

Here's to a successful and productive week! emoticon

You're doing a great job with the goals! And I love the goal to organize your reading. I may have to try that, since I have such a ginormous TBR pile.
