Family Time.....

Sunday, August 14, 2011

Good Sunday Sparkfam! Just at home cooking a big meal for my family & guess what? They actually aren't here yet but that won't stop me from cooking from the heart & filling the meal with love & devotion. When I was little my mom would cooking every Sunday starting on Saturday so she could be available for church. I don't know why but I prefer to cook on Sunday myself. I guess I just need to really get my time in the kitchen down to a pattern. Because I so love cooking big meals that my feet often hurt by the time I am done cooking. Today's menu: baked chicken, rib tips, corn on cob, turnip greens, sweet potatoes, spaghetti & garlic toast. The last meal at home should be a good one since he won't be back til around Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Next Saturday I take my oldest son to college, its a 4.5hour tour downstate & I am looking forward to it but at the same time I am not sleeping well, So I guess its my rebellion from reality. My daughter was so much more dramatic because we were closer and she was the one who helped me out the most. lol At any rate, we have been arguing & packing his bags since 2008! So we have been parting ways for the longest time.

Today's workout is yoga & Jillian Michaels & I might do 40mins of walk/jog dvd burning close to 800 calories give or take a hundred. lol

So what was your family time today?

God bless & enjoy everyday!

Dee

That's my kind of meal! How great your son is going to college. So they won't have a fall break? That's a long time to be gone but he will love it & grow a little. My son won't go...yet. He is a manager @ BK & he is satisfied at this time. I was a very good student in high school so I went to Jr College(I was afraid to go away)lol But college is great.

Now stop that crying Dee they do grow up so fast. Next thing he'll be getting married. LoL ok not that soon. Thanks for all the goodies and support. You are a blessing to me always.
God bless & Have a Great Week!
Deb

You cook like my mother Dee! enough for an army, LOL looks so good and I am sure Your family appreciated it. It's normal to have an argument with your son, he is probably nervous about leaving home and so are you and so every little thing annoys you. Have a Great day Dee! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Sure looks good. Was a bad boy today and had two small burgers with a few fries. But I will not make that mistake again. Best wishes for your son with college.

Mmmmm! I love greens. Made pesto out of extra basil leaves, walnuts, garlic, and olive oil, but not sure if I like it
