It's Silly Saturday time once again. I love that humor is such a big part of our lives. I can't imagine not sharing giggles and laughs as an every day part of my life.
Garry got home from work around 7pm last night and the first thing he said is "What are the girls doing tonight?" My response...call them and ask. Turns out that both of them were out together at the book store and looking for something to occupy themselves with. All their Dad had to do was say the words "garage party" and they both said "see ya in a few minutes". We are so blessed that our relationship with our kids is so wonderful.
The words "garage party" are synonymous with "family and laughter" in our lives. The great thing is that it's not limited to only the family, their friends (and ours) are all included. Its a great time of sitting around and being silly together. It evolved as "garage" because in the evenings, we get the sun on that side of our house and it's a nice warm place to sit and also to chat with all the neighbors that wander past . It's "social time".
Last evening the girls decided to bring Mom an ice cap from Timmies as they were looking forward to sharing a beer with their Dad and know that Mom doesn't drink alcohol. What a nice surprise, as I usually sit with my cup of tea in the evenings. Shy's boyfriend popped in for a visit also and then headed off to continue his bike ride while the girls stuck around until midnight. Such a fun time just being together.
My positives:
The blessings of my children and hubby.
6 quarts of Borscht all canned and in the cold storage room.
Nice big bowl of fruit sitting on my kitchen counter waiting to be consumed.
Some baking on the agenda for today.
Garry has today off work and we are going to tackle some more of the "to do" list.
Being alive...how much more exciting than that can you get!
Have a great and wonderful day...don't forget to put humor on your list of things to have.
Hugs
Wanda
