Yippee!!!!!! !It is unbelievable that I have lost 1 lb in a day. This is a new dynamic of loss for me where loss results in gain. I have gained so much happiness, renewed zest to better my lifestyle, improved self esteem et al.
Life is so much easier when we express ourselves honestly and listen intently. We often call weight loss a lifestyle change but lately I have been thinking of it as a conversation. On my sparkpages, blissful walks, exercise mats and weighing scale, it becomes an intimate dialogue between my body, mind and heart, in which each part learns to express itself and listen to others. Sometimes, one of the trio is lazy, bossy or affected by virus excusitis and sparkpeople is a safe place for it to have its say and for others to show compassion and provide support.I have actually become addicted to sparkpeople and am logged on to it through the whole day.
I am trying to alter my relationship with food and look at as my friend. There are a million spins and angles that can be focused on for weight loss. Motivation to stay on top of things is the most essential element. Motivation is essential to lose weight. The success of any task depends upon a number of facts, but if one has to point out the most important and decisive of these facts, then it is definitely going to be motivation. It is a fact that although it is very easy to long for that perfect figure, it is extremely difficult to pull up my socks and stick to a slimming regimen rigorously. It is easier to work towards a goal where the result is obtained early. But losing weight is an arduous process where I have to watch what I put in my mouth and exercise regularly forever. The results of my efforts may not reflect on the weighing scale fast enough to make me happy. It is only the level of my motivation that can keep me going. The motivation to lose weigh makes me get up and exercise and to stick to a healthy, low carb diet. The initial few kilos are easy to shed. However, as the slimming regimen progresses, it becomes more and more difficult to maintain a steady fall in the weight. It is at this point that the motivation to lose weight plays a major role. And to remain motivated, I have to focus on all the benefits I will get by losing weight.
It’s time I bid adieu to losing weight so that it doesn’t find me again like a stray animal. It is time to say a final goodbye to extra kilos.
