Why the sabotage?

Thursday, August 11, 2011

Listen all y'all it's sabotage!!! Listen all y'all it's sabotage!!!

Okay - enough Beasties.

For now...

So if you saw the status then you know I am in big big big trouble. Big Trouble in Little China kind of trouble. (that movie sucked btw)

Anyhow - I made the mistake of having an Iced Caramel Mocha Latte today at DD... See pic, it is the one in the middle - although I did decline the caramel drizzle on the top...

Idiot. Now my new favorite coffee drink in the A.M. WTH? Am I TRYING to purposely doom myself and my diet and my plans for my weight loss future? Am I an idiot? A complete and utter moron? What? What the heck is the matter with me.

Confession - I even went all out and went milk and sugar. Oh yeah, and whipped cream topping! Insanity I tell you. My taste buds have a mind of their own and they are so not on the same page as the rest of me. Unless, that is, the page that reads: "I don't care anymore. I totally give up."

I will not have one every day. I will not have one every day. I will not have one everyday. I will not have one everyday. I will not have one everyday. All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. I will not have one everyday. I will not have one everyday...

signed - DOOMED by my idiocy. (they don't call me Avandia DANGER for nada folks...)

    i do that too. i know what steps i can make to stay away from temptation, but i just don't always keep up with it, i know i just need more practice and then make a point to not even try certain things that i know are bad for me.

    I"m a tad confused here. Did you look up the calories because I did and I got
    cals= 220
    fat= 16
    sodium=150
    sugar=34
    pro
    tein=8
    Ideal? No. But waaaay better than that Starbucks canned crap you were drinking which contains the following fake food items:
    Starbucks Coffee (Water, Coffee), Reduced-Fat Milk, Skim Milk, Sugar, Maltodextrin, Dextrose, Taurine, Cellulose Gel, Natural Flavors, Panax Ginseng Root Extract, Inositol, Sodium Ascorbate, Cellulose Gum, Guarana (Paullinia Cupana) Seed Extract, Niacinamide, Sucralose, Ascorbic Acid, Tricalcium Phosphate, Acesulfame Potassium, Carrageenan, Caramel Color, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride (Vitamin B6), Riboflavin, Vitamin A Palmitate, Vitamin D3.
    I feel like at least the DD coffee is.... well.... COFFEE!

    I have to tell you, that looks FANTASTIC! I see why you're so tempted. Maybe you can work in one small one (or the smallest they come anyway) per week. You'll have to do some "creative budgeting" of calories the rest of the day I'm sure.

    Is there anything you can do to cut the damage on it? I have a favorite flavor of gas station cappuccino (not quite the same I know) and I mix it half and half with plain old decaf.

    This may sound unnecessarily harsh, but as NIAGCHRIS246 says, you are fighting for your life, so here goes. Would you rather: a) enjoy a delicious Iced Caramel Mocha Latte, or b) go blind from diabetic retinopathy? Would you rather: a) enjoy a delicious Iced Caramel Mocha Latte, or b) go on kidney dialysis? Would you rather: a) enjoy a delicious Iced Caramel Mocha Latte, or b) have a foot amputated? Would you rather: a) enjoy a delicious Iced Caramel Mocha Latte, or b) have a heart attack?

    I'm not advocating living a life of fear. I'm advocating intelligent realism. At this point in time, you still have a choice. As the old knight said in the last crusade, 'Choose wisely.'

    How about "I will not have one tommorow."?

    Addiction: continueing a behavior despite negative consequences.
    You are not stupid, suicidal, oblivious, or insane. You are in the fight of your life (for your life) with a very tough opponent. Muster every support available to you, use every resource. Take it one step at a time, but finish preparing for battle and begin.

    I like the way you think... Yeah those suckers are NOT cheap either. Ridiculous. Like 3 and some change for a medium! All I know is the day I treat myself with another one of those I better eat nothing but vegies the rest of the day. HOLY COW!!!!!!!!!!!

    Perhaps your budget will suffer as much as your caloric intake! You will be forced to avoid spending all that extra cash and this roller-coaster will be short-lived. :)
