I made it to the gym today. I managed to do 18 minutes on the treadmill before I had to go stretch. I was so excited to be at the Y that I just jumped on without stretching first. My right calf felt like it was going to pop after a while. Lesson learned, STRETCH.
Also, I did the same thing I always do and pushed myself too hard at the beginning. I haven't exercised in three months and pushed myself straight into jogging. I was exhausted by the 12 minute mark. So, I need to once again learn pacing and control.
But, hey, I made it to the gym! I would be returning Friday but we're -( my family )- going to Six Flags. I'll be going on Saturday instead... hopefully my legs don't fall off. My sister bought me a season pass this year, so I already went once.. and it took nearly three weeks for my legs to stop hurting.
I will start counting calories next week. Right now I'm going to focus on exercising every day and patting myself on the back for progress. I'm thinking about going on South Beach, I want to go pick up a couple books on it. Has anyone had success on it?
