Okay as everyone knows life on the farm is never dull, it is always magnified with new exciting challenges to stimulate you every day.

As I get older I realize I get carried away in the beauty around me, and time seems to slip away. From the fields,to the snakes,to of course the beautiful flowers.

Our okra still growing and blooming

My life is centered around King Snakes. This one sunning in the yard.

This Black Snake liked to sun and hide on my garden cabinet. Look close he is quite big.

We never know who or what will drop by for a visit.

My Amarillo's are beautiful this year.

I have always adored these climbing roses.

Little Johnnyjumups were my Mom's favorite and I try to keep them in my garden.

It seems like only a few weeks ago school was getting out,now Phillip is already back in school again. Can you believe 3rd grade? All my loyal friends will probably remember me groping and crying the day he started pre-k,wanting to sit outside the school! Guess I still do ,maybe that is why I volunteer at the school!

Okay well back to the farm...I finally got all the summer garden vegetables up and the watermelons were great again this year.

We have of course started to get the ground ready for the fall and winter crops.

Phillip has been doing extremely well in karate, keeping Granny running to practice and demonstrations all summer.

Yes that is Phillip to the left

Phillip preparing to kick a board at 4th July demonstration

Phillip's board he broke!

Since August 1st, I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off, I got all Phillip's appointments taken care appointments out of the way..then my oldest daughter talked me into going school shopping with her to what I thought was Savannah..but ended up being Hilton Head,Sc..WHEW..What a trip!

I am thankful now for my age and for AARP I got a free stroller to help cart all my goodies in and to lean on in the extreme heat! Having degenerative disc disease, as many of us do it is hard to walk on the pavement and stand for hours without sitting. Now I love to walk, but under my own conditions.

Putting everything aside we got some wonderful deals, with tax-free week-end and I would like to express my Thanks to all the wonderful people of South Carolina for all your warm southern hospitality. Your smiles and friendly dispositions made it a pleasure to not only shop but to enjoy a very rememberable day in your beautiful State.

So until next time May God Bless you All and above all stay healthy and safe!

    Hi Barbara:

Great pictures but I don't want those snakes. We have snakes and I hardly ever see any. I live on farm land because my husband was a farm boy raise on this land. Now since he is gone to the Lord I have learnt how to garden and take care of everything.I enjoy sitting on the deck and watching the deer eat my apples off the tree I saved for them. Stay with your healthy life style. God bless you always. Learn from Spark people each day.
