FOR OUR FRIENDS IN DROUGHT AREAS

Wednesday, August 10, 2011

*****Added later for my Spark Friends:
Please be sure to read the very first comment made by Giant Step.

Prayer Request

As evidenced by people living in Texas and Oklahoma and even here in Indiana , the drought condition is reaching critical status; cattle are being auctioned off; crops have burned up; and drinking water is becoming a concern. Please join us in this prayer circle.

Lets make this one of the largest prayer circles ever. It will be as though everyone is holding hands around the world.

Father, You said whatsoever any two or more come together and agree and ask in Your Son's name, it shall be given. We come to you, humbly, and ask that you bring down the rain to our parched lands. Our farmers and ranchers need it desperately, as well as our firefighters. We ask this all in Jesus' name. Amen.

You may adopt this prayer and evidence your participation in this gathering by simply passing this prayer request on to your circle of friends!

Please know you are not alone CarolJ35..this person has visited my pages with nothing but hatred in his/her heart. We must pray for this very misguided soul. Do not falter or let this person steal the joy we have in our hearts through prayer.
I do find it interesting that he/she moves very anonymously through SP without a page or way of contacting ...how very uncourageous to spew anger and not want too communicate maturely.
God be with you always...

Carol, I don't know where that Giant Steps person came from, as Lori couldn't find them on Spark People, but LET IT BE KNOWN THAT WE WILL PRAY FOR THE PEOPLE WHO NEED IT, and HE/SHE definitely NEEDS PRAYER!!! The Lord is merciful to those who follow HIM!
emoticon for the prayers, we finally got 1.2 inches of rain this morning.

God ALWAYS answers prayer. WE don't alway get the answer we are wanting. Also, God doesn't see us as anything but his children. One person's job title is not more important than anothers.

Thank you Carol and all for your prayers. I'm in Texas.

I am praying for GIANT-STEPS.

    Hi Carol

We must take what we like and leave the rest. This person is calling out for prayer.

I pray for them and I stand in prayer with you and all others on ending the drought.

Carol, leave it... GiantSteps was only speaking from his/her perspective. If you post something, you have to be able to accept that others may differ from your opinions/beliefs. Please don't feel angry at them... their faith is lacking, is all... emoticon

I don't put a whole lot of stock in the governor's clout with prayers, but I do know one thing to be true:

Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.

2nd Chronicles 7:14

Yes, Carol, I will keep praying. God knows what we need and will provide in His timing. Until then, we'll do what we can with 103 temps in Lubbock, TX! emoticon

So sorry Giant-Steps feels this way. I was tempted to delete this first message, but decided you all need to read it, too.
First time I have ever had a derogatory remark on SP.

You know, Texas Governor Rick Perry signed a proclamation for 3 days of prayer April 22-24 to end the drought.

If even the governor of Texas can't gather up enough prayer to end the drought what makes you think you will be more successful?

Does this make you doubt the efficacy of prayer yet?
