I'm writing this on August 10 - early to mid August. This is the time of year I really struggle with, last minute cookouts and many birthday parties in our family. The stress and hecticness of "Back to School". The desire to get some last minute coaster trips in and often eating on the run. August quickly becomes a busy September that leads to October. Charity Dinners at church and Halloween Candy, Thanksgiving goodness and Pumpkin pies. At this point I usually refocus - I make it to the gym quite often in December, and while I don't miss out on the Christmas goodies, it's not the free for all I find myself in during November.
Then it seems for all of us - January brings about resolutions and new commitments to healthy living. Its often easier then, TV shows are about healthy food, everyone is losing weight, it may be hard to get into the gym though.
I am challenging myself and you - I don't want to repeat this cycle - instead of an eat all you can August I am focusing - I am committing - I am losing weight!
