Good Enough is my new Perfect

Today I am reintroducing Me to Myself. Today I am taking control and accepting that I am the only person and factor incharge of my life.
I have always had a lot of knowledge about food and nutritition which made me think I can lose weight whenever I want to. I kept myself abreast in all updates in nutrition industry. Over a period of 20 years, I went from gyms to slimming spas to nutrition consultants. I lost only to put it back with a multiple of 2. The only person I never went to was I myself. As I gained and I gain pretty fast, I blamed my metabolism to my genes to my underactive thyroid or a dysfunctional menstrual cycle. My belief throughout the process and later was it is 'NEVER ENOUGH'. On 10 July 2011, I decided to call it 'QUITS'. I have Quit this blaming .
My new mantra is 'GOOD ENOUGH'. From NOW on every action that I take is good enough and I am in TOTAL CONTROL I am enjoying this journey to the hilt. Initially I started with only control on my food, now I am adding exercise and movement to it with renewed verve everyday and I am seeing an exponential change in my lifestyle with inspiring results.
I thank the entire sparkteam and the amazing sparkpeople especially the ones who have lost weight and have been the trail blazers.

    I've lost and gained myself over the years--and like you I know a lot about nutrition. Over the years, I've lost weight, gotten derailed by other demands, stopped exercising, and put the weight back on. That's because I'm a "stress" eater--and being short I can't eat as much as my 6'2'' husband who likes to snack. In January, I decided to stop the "yo-yo."

I like logging in my food and nutrition on SparkPeople. Now that I've lost most of what I wanted to, I realize I can't get derailed again. Sticking with Spark People is how I plan to maintain my exercise and eating plans.
