Day 7 of the 17 day diet

Still plugging along....good news. My fog is slowly lifting. We'll see how good my brain functions at work tomorrow! It was a great day - my dear friends took me clothes shopping - no, I didn't magically fit into a size 8 but I wasn't expecting that. I had lunch - a fresh romaine salad with fruit and chicken breast. It came with a handfull of candied pecans. I ate them. I shouldn't - but I did. Oh well. I avoided the bread basket again. That's a huge feat of strength for me. Damn that bread! Came home from shopping and an overall estrogen-fest and prepared dinner. Three guesses....Salmon! Added a little zucchini, yellow squash, onion, green pepper and a tablespoon of "Asian Zing" sauce from Buffalo wild wings. Ok, so, the sauce was not on the list but still.....and the squash is not on the list of cleansing veggies, but STILL..... I'm not upset about it. I forgot to tell you about the crown jewels on my dinner. A handfull of steamed Brussel Sprouts. YUM! Ok - I love brussel sprouts! I haven't found many folks that share my passion, but oh man, a perfectly prepared brussel sprout is so hard to find but they are so good! I love to find new recipes for brussel sprouts so if you have them, please pass them on!

Lastly - Sharron - you asked about exercise - I'm just sticking to my hour per day. My mainstay workout is treadmill. I'm going to try to ramp it up again this week now that I'm getting used to being on a lower carb regimen. I try to mix it up, running vs. walking vs. incline, etc. I've been walking the past 3-4 days as my energy has been a bit lower but now that I'm feeling better, its time to get back to business!
