AHA! Moments

Saturday, August 06, 2011

Hi, So I've had 2 AHA! moments this weekend! emoticon
Moment # 1: I and my husband were spending an evening with my parents and my sister and her husband. (A rare treat that all 6 adults were together without my niece & nephew). I decided to "splurge" and had a Captain Morgan and Diet Coke. emoticon. Then, when I had to enter the drink into the nutrition tracker, I realized it wasn't worth it! I didn't enjoy it enough to justify the empty calories that it accounted for in my day.
Moment # 2: Today I did a workout dvd that lasted approx. 30 minutes. (FIRM Hips, Thighs, and Abs). The workout went by super fast and it was done so quickly! I can't believe I just typed those words! A workout went quickly! emoticon I even did another workout because I felt like I need some more!

It's been almost 5 weeks since I've really committed to Spark People and already I've seen some small but amazing changes in my life. emoticonSo, Thanks SparkPeople and all my Sparked Friends for helping me along this journey! I'm looking foward to even great changes ahead! emoticon

That's awesome!! I keep telling myself I'll do that Hips, Thighs, and Abs workout, but it keeps getting pushed to the back burner by bike rides. I know that sounds like a good thing, but I want to add more strength training so my bike rides are easier/longer. Last night was the first nice night (under 95 at 7PM!) in such a long time, I felt like it was a justified bump. But tonight I hope to get that workout in and will think of you when I'm done! :-) Not in a creepy way, of course, because that sounds a little creepy now that I read it back.

It sounds like you are doing great! The nutrition tracker helps me stick with the program also!
