I promised as soon as I even halfway learned how to lift/float the hula hoop, I'd post a video blog. I try to keep my promises. So, I hauled my daughter (in her pjs) out to the backyard this morning to film. We tried to make it entertaining...
Wow that was fun to watch. I'm new to Sparkpeople just joined 4/2013 and learning so much! That looks like a great way to get some exercise! Love the dog with a hoop on his neck! Now I have to see what else you've posted since this first one! You Go Girl!
One can tell that Gunner loved being a part of the action....a true family dog and friend. You were blessed to have him a part of your family and he'll be waiting on the other side of the rainbow bridge.
Thank you for giving us Gunner. Good guys like that do not come around very often. I know he will be in all of you future vlogs.. we will see his lighted collar. Kermie-sized hugs to all of you.
I just signed up today and your video was the first one I watched and it made me smile. Thank you for such a great video and great exercise idea. Good job and keep it going :)
Thanks wendy for bringing my attention to this - wow! I think I am about were you were a year ago today - which means that if I keep on hooping - in a year I might be where you are now - whohooo! I have learned this summer how to do that float thing - both directions! woohoo again!
LOOK at how far you have come from this to now!!! This vlog link was in an email I had yet to click on from ages and ages ago.. and I found YOU there and thought it would be fun to see your first vlog.. and it was! wow, Shelli, take a look back and savor your progress!
Ok Shelli, I loved this! I know that I couldn't do this, I used to hula hoop when I was younger, but that was a long long time ago, but would like to again sometimes after I lose some of the weight. Thank you for sharing, and just 1 question what was the 125? I would use but you already did!
I love your video!!! I was sitting here watching it with a huge smile on my face! It makes me want to get my kids hula hoop out and try it! I love your fun loving attitude and it is inspiring to me! Posting the video touches more lives and uplifts and inspires so many of us!
Oh my goodness! I'm so impressed! Plus, I think you must be such a fun-loving person! You are an inspiration! Thanks for this post! I'm going to watch this whenever I think I can't do something..... Thank you!
Shelli, Not Pretty, it is Beautiful!! You and your daughter are doing the thing. So that's why I can't hula hoop. Mom didn't get out there with me and go for it :) My goal is to just keep the hoop going for 30 seconds. Can't believe with all these hips the hoop won't stay up. Seeing the fun you and your daughter are having has inspired me to try again. Hey, I may even get Mom to try it. Love your Post. Thank you so much for submitting it.
You guys are about as cute as they come!! What a great and inspiring video! I have never been able to hula hoop either and I'm 41 years old. It is truly an art form, but you guys have it DOWN!!
Totally awesome first vlog! That's a basic preschooler move? Ok, then, I need to learn that one. How is that different from the Corkscrew then? Come message me or post on my wall?
