Hiking with my daughter and family

Last week i was down in Sudbury visiting my daughter and her f amily. Of the 6 evenings i was there we went on hikes some short but others were longer.It was so much fun.I really did enjoy it. The most challenging of them all was the last day when we walked between 8 and 9 km return. Yes i do walk 10 km every day but this wasn't the usually flat terrain. No way it was up rugged hills and down rugged hills and along rocky paths. It was a real workout for even me .For me who does so much walking i was feeling tired out by the time we finished.I was so glad i had done it though. my daughter Lesley has to be commended for doing the hike. I know it was not easy for her.i am so very proud of her. I do miss not going on those hikes now i am back home but do continue my 10 km walk every day.

Yes Lesley is to be commended for the effort she is putting in now to get into tip top shape. Glad you had a good visit with her!

    this new city has some really nice hiking trails -- looks like you both had a great hike --- and you did it!!!!
great pictures to prove it too..

lol I am going to tell Lesley about the southern ontario hikes -- they are all along lakes -- this I will have to look into again because just can not remember where they
someday we will hike them together woohoo!!!

    Awwwww mom that was so nice of you to do a blog about our hikes. We enjoyed having you come along on these hikes for us . I know i talked about them to you about some of the others and you have seen some of the other photos but i think for you to really understand just how hard i am working and how focused i am you had to truly experience what we do. These hikes are not just an average walk on a flat and straight trail they are up and down alot of hills and rocks and it makes me work my body out good and hard. For someone who walks 10 k a day then to experience this and to be tired out you can imagine how i felt lugging up this obese body. I did it though its almost biggest loser style. Its nice to know though that i have your support and the support of my family. Thats what keeps me pushing forward. I think how great i feel when im done. Its also great to have the support of sparkpeople too.You have been here through the good the bad and the ugly. Thanks again for sharing in this journey Mom and all my spark buddies. great blog mom

I have tried for the whole month of July and now into August to get at least 6 miles a day done.
This is very good for us Ladies-- not going to say older ladies LOL!

You look great. I hope to look as good as you.
