For those who read my last blog entry, I just wanted to let you all know that I am feeling better. I have been exercising a lot and eating well.
After a lapse of several years I have been able to get back into lap swimming.
That is something that works really well for me. I haven't really lost much weight, maybe about 2 or 3 pounds but i can tell things have changed with my body for the better. Lots of lean muscle.
Food is less of a problem, 1. It's too hot to eat much. 2. I'm tired of cooking.
I even did pretty well on the trip I took. But sitll, thinking about what I eat all the time, if not tracking every single thing I eat.
I guess my midsection is about as good as it is going to get at my age. My waist is 32 and it's the first place fat goes when I gain so I have to be extra vigilant or I'll grow out of my pants.
My next challenge is going BACK TO WORK! Now my schedule will change again and I will simply not have the time for as much exercise as i have had this summer. I plan to still use my Walk Away the Pounds videos, they get me through when nothing else will. And hopefully I will be able to go to the pool occasionally. But working full time and taking 2 classes (no math!) Will put a big dent in it.
