My Subway Mistake!

Wednesday, August 03, 2011

I was out shopping today and decided to have a healthy Blackforest ham Subway lunch. I thought I would try a flatbread sandwich thinking it was a lower calorie choice. I always ask for all of the vegi's and I skipped the cheese but did ask for a small ribbon of light mayo. It sure was yummy and I enjoyed every bite especially since I got up late and didn't have a big breakfast. Well, surprise, surprise the calories and fat in the flatbread sandwich was higher than the regular Italian bread!!! Oh well, I will have to watch what I eat the rest of the day and pick a salad next time emoticon What do you chose at Subway??

I do like the flatbread (I know it's a tad higher) but I like the veggie sandwich on it with pepperjack cheese and honey mustard.

A short walk or jog will erase those delicious extra cals. I like their southwest breakfast flatbread sandwich.

definately get SPIINACH on any Subway Sub I get and load up on other veggies. There are about 4 sub types I enjoy, but we don't go out to eat often so I have no idea what they call them.

I like the subway club with lettuce/ tomato/ onion/ green pepper and pickles/ no dressing/ minimal cheese/ if I do want a dressing I usually use a no or low fat dressing. Good stuff! emoticon

I usually get the Subway Club with no cheese or mayo. It's one of their lighter sandwiches.

So, Subway actually offers Jared Diet sandwiches. Most are on whole wheat bread (much better than white or flatbread), and all have tons of veggies. Even ones with turkey, ham, and roast beef all have fewer than 290 calories. Check this link out:

And of course, remember that we all make mistakes. Today is a new day, so don't be too hard on yourself. Your doing great!
