Charlie decided it was time to go..

Wednesday, August 03, 2011

--After trying many things to save him, my cat Charlie must've gone off to die. He was getting skinnier and more lethargic but still sitting on my lapand nuzzling. He still came in every morning to eat (he was an indoor/outdoor cat and loved to be outside). He'd stay in all day (too hot) and go out at night (just to sit around the yard, he rarely leaves the yard). Well, yesterday morning he didn't come in. My husband and I looked all over the yard through the bushes and trees, in all his favorite hiding places along the creek and no Charlie. I miss him, but I think he died the way he wanted.

So sorry for your loss. I'll be thinking of you today. I know how hard it is to loose a pet. They become family to us. Take care.

Indoor-outdoor kitties do that - go away to pass. My Daisy was an indoor cat and died peacefully during the night. She was fourteen years old. All we can do is remember how much love we gave each other.

I'm sorry for your loss :( My kitty (Garcia) who's a blue Russian is sitting on my desk in my arms as we speak. I sit here and type and he drapes himself across me and sleeps and purrs while I do my stuff. Admittedly it gets to be aggravating at times when i am trying to work but i have to remind myself he loves me and just wants to be close to me.

he is an old kitty, probably about 16 years old. He is getting old and you can see it in his face. He is also sick, he has something wrong with his metabolism so he has to get medicine every morning and night. I know that one day soon he simply won't be here anymore, so every time I get aggravated or downright mad when he jumps up on the desk and scatters stuff all over the place I have to remind myself to calm down and not curse and get bent out of shape as one day he simply won't be here to do this stuff.

I'm a little choked up just thinking about it. I hope the memories of the happy times your kitty brought you help you through your sadness

Greg
