Thanks for writing, Laurie.

I've had knee surgery and mostly just haven't been in the mood to spark, reading books and watching movies instead. And I got sort of bummed out because of others.

It's silly of me but I really set out this summer to connect to other Sparkers because I've seen so many get discouraged and drop out, especially banders or people who had lots of weight to lose. So as I read the blogs and huddle posts, if I saw someone who was really down, I would go back to that person's page and try to encourage them and give a goodie.

Do you know that people just don't say thanks anymore, much less respond in kind? Maybe I've been wrong but I thought we were a support community, not entertainers putting on a one-person show.

Maybe I should make this my next blog, huh? Anyway, I'm okay and thanks so much for checking on me.

At the moment, I'm propped up with a pressure dressing on my knee because I had the bright idea of removing the single stitch that was left. Sure enough, I popped open one of the wounds last night when I also decided a tub soak would be nice. So I'm working on lesson plans and playing on the computer. I'll try to do better.

Lynn I hope your knee is a lot better now. You need to be back on your feet for school. I can't speak for others but when a get a note or a spgoodie from an individual I try to drop a note or am emoticon to at least acknowledge it and say thank you. I'm sorry you weren't responded to. I hope it wasn't me that didn't do it. I have been in such a fog lately I may have missed someone. If it was I'm sorry.

It's no fun when we try to play Doctor and we do something we shouldn't have. Feel better Lynn!

Thanks for this blog. Like you this time around on Spark I have been concentrating on communicating one-on-one more. I find a lot of the blogs very interesting and try to comment or send a spark goodie to people having a hard day. Sorry about your knee, hang in there. emoticon
