I got together with some friends last night for supper. We went to a restaurant that I have never been to before, but one of their specialties was rotisserie roasted chicken.
I order a 1/4 chicken, with potatoes and a side salad. The salad was just a plain tossed salad, but it was fresh and tasty. But I noticed as I was eating the chicken that it tasted fairly salty.
Now, I don't strictly limit my salt intake although I should. But I never salt restaurant food because I figure it's usually already been seasoned. So if it was salty enough for me to notice, that meant it was way too salty. And what do I do to compensate for this? Drink more water, of course! Sure enough, I had a puffy face this morning and a cotton mouth.
I don't think I'll be going back to that place again. There are better choices in the area. In addition to the salty food, the service was awful. We waited over 30 minutes from the time we sat down until someone came to even take a drink order and bring water. At first we were visiting so much it wasn't an issue, but after a while we did discuss leaving. Now I wish we would have, but it would have put a damper on the evening.
