OK it is time to get serious!
I don't know if anyone remembers but I got stuck at 166 pounds and then out of no where I lost 3 pounds. Now I have been stuck at 163 for over 2 weeks and I would really like to lose the last 3 of my final weight loss goal. I am walking twice a day, morning and late afternoon, and alternating days between weights and cardio.
My wife was once again laughing at me last night for working out so hard when she thinks I am already too thin. I did 3 sets of bicycle crunches, 3 sets of regular crunches with 30 pound weights, and 3 sets of oblique exercises. My abs were screaming. I also did my normal strength training.
I know it is all vanity, but I am turning 50 next year and I would really like to have my 6 pack back before that happens. My belly button fat is mocking me!
...and now for something completely different.
I have blogged a couple times about hiking. I have been going with a group called North Texas Outdoors. The first time I went I was afraid that I wouldn't be able to keep up, but I stayed in the lead the whole time. Now that I have gone several times and always push the pace faster they have asked me to be a leader. My first hike is the 21st of this month. I am taking them on a 10 mile hike up one of the difficult trails on the tallest hill in our county. It should be a great time. I just have my fingers crossed that my knees hold out.
