I lived here during the summer of 1980 the hottest summer in Texas history, but this one is sure turning out to be one of the hot ones. I am still walking in the late afternoon but these 109 temp days are starting to take the fun out of it. Drink lots of water wear a hat and never over do it.

Amen we were out and about yesterday and by bed time I was GONE. emoticon

That is one reason I'm doing the laundry this morning. I don't want to be out there this afternoon.

I've been totally worn out lately and I'm sure part of it is the heat. Here in KS it's been over 100 for almost 40 days straight. 111 today with a high of 110 tomorrow. This is getting really old. Take care and hydrate well!!!

I actually get sick on my stomach if I go in and out to many times from heat to air conditioning. So yes, you can feel tired and even weak!! Be careful, and I would put off that shopping trip!!! Try to stay cool!! I think it is always a good excuse to stay inside and read a good book!!!! Have a great week!! Shannon

I remember as a child, we travelled every other summer to Texas to visit my Mom's relatives (Greenville). Compared to PA, it was so terrible. My Aunt had AC and she covered the insides of her windows with aluminum foil to keep the heat out. Strange, but probably before insulated windows. I feel for you. Stay inside and stay cool!

It's been really hot in the mid-Atlantic, too. Hear tell Texas always does everything bigger! I guess y'all are proving it! As our weatherman forecasted, we had a cool weekend, only 98 degress.

The heat must be getting to everybody. The roads and stores were unusually light on traffic today -- maybe that's why. The dogs have to be PUSHED outside. Nobody (except your daughter) wants to leave the house, and walkers are nowhere to be seen. And when YOU of all people post that you're grouchy, well, that says it all!

Oh ya, I feel tired out from the heat--even more so from the high dew points and humidity we have been experiencing lately. I'm with you, need to stay cool and that means staying indoors. Sadly summers we look forward to here in Mn. and then get hit by this heat. Our dog is also not wanting to go out much in this heat either, poor gal she is a sheltie so has plenty of fur to heat her up quickly.

Wow! I lived in Texas (Houston) for 14 years and I don't remember heat like that. Arizona yes (120) but Texas ... not that I remember, anyway it has been a while and memories do fade at my age (senior moments). I will keep you all in my thoughts. Here in the Philippines we have had 4 back to back typhoons and I am hoping for one dry day.

Can heat make you tired? Yes, it can even kill you if you push too hard so keep doing what you are doing and drink, drink, drink... that is water emoticon NOT emoticon . Good Luck with your weather.....
