I MISS YOU ALL!!!! I cannot wait until everything begin to slow down so I can come back and see how everyone is doing!!!
Okay, here we go...
The house: The contractors are almost finished with fixing the 36 items that failed the home inspection. The seller paid for the work but we are using a contractor of our choice.
We will be able to move in on Friday, Aug 5th but we will wait until Aug 13th. We have to steam clean, clean, paint, try to put down our own floors in the basement, try to use this painting system that will allow us to create the granite look for the kitchen counters (available at lowes). After that, we will move in. We are going to hold off right now on decorating the basement at this time. Hopefully by Christmas we will be finished.
My Weight: After the Master Cleanse, I am still 154 pounds! Oh yeah!! I have not exercised at all for the month of July period and still kept the weight off. Therefore, if you ever thought about doing a juice fast...go for it! You just have to readjust what you eat after and you will be fine!
Vegan: I was able to do my vegan pledge for 9 days and then I ran out of food. My son now lives with us and I want to introduce him to vegan foods. When we move, I will do my pledge again. Maybe for 10 days at a time.
School: I enrolled in my classes and will be taking legal courses. One--Introduction to Law for the Paralegal; Two--Legal Research and my other class is my math class in order to graduate with my degree. I have 2 more math classes after this semester. One is college math and the other is Trig. That's what I get for having a technical major! Rats!
My son is enrolled in college as well. He is a music major. We are waiting to see if he will go to the University this fall or start in the Spring. He is going for music technology at the university. If he has to go to community college first, he will go for music - vocal and then transfer.
Career: I had an on the spot telephone job interview on Thursday. This job is almost identical to a positiong I worked in back in 2008. I loved that job but left it because it was a term position and I didn't want to go back to my permanent job. I honestly should have just lived day by day back then because I would have had the time of my life in that job! The people were awesome. My supervisor was the best supervisor ever! A supervisor that molded and helped all of his employees. One that trusted us to do our work and work at a higher level and guess what....gave awards when we did! Oh how I miss that position but I have prayed for many years that God will guide me back to a similar work environment. It looks as if God may be answering my prayers! The position is a laterial. No promotion but that's fine with me! I want the skillset and the work environment. I'm a people person and received various customer service awards in former jobs. I will be in customer service again BUT doing project managment as well. I will have duties consisting of research and creating desktop publishing materials for outreach. I hope this position is Gods will for me! The person interviewing me sounds very genuine and said he was impressed with my resume.
Boy...this is long. Sorry! That's all I have right now on what's going on in my world. I hope everyone is doing well and having the best days they can imagine having during this summer!
I need to visit and see what you all are up too! I will soon! Talk to you later and keep up the great work you accomplished thus far!
Things are going very well in my life right now. I am celebrating the good times because I had so many bad times over the years. I will continue to take each day slowly.
