Big Girl Panties (*nsv)

Monday, August 01, 2011

This blog came to me while I was sleeping last night. I have been noticing my panties are getting loose and tend to slip down. Anyway, as I continue to lose weight, I am noticing changes in my body size. It is shrinking and that is a good thing! I had this pretty brightly colored dress that I had bought and I felt just right in it when I wore it to church yesterday. I never liked the way my arms looked when I tried it on before, but yesterday I could see a visible difference when I wore it .

I am not one to get on the scale on a regular basis. I know myself well enough that it would just make me worry if I saw the fluctuations of the scale frequently. But I am realistic enough to know that to get at a healthy weight, I must eat less and exercise more. I must track both my nutrition and exercise every day. I must track every bite of food that I eat. Those invisible enemies (little bites of this and that) add up over time. They add up to fat on my body and I am ready to get lean.

I will keep on working on getting fit and before long I will be heading to that store called Victoria's and check out just what her secret is. Maybe I will find some pretty panties and toss these "big girl panties" where the sun doesn't shine.

*nsv: non scale victory emoticon

That was one thing I wanted to achieve To be able to buy small lacy pretty panties.
Iam happy say I did achieve that aim and its a great feeling. It is important to us to feel proud of ourselves in something!

Cute blog! Be sure not to "save" them, even for comparisons! When they fall down it's time to step out of them and move on!! emoticon

I hope you are going to invite all of your Spark Friends to your Throw Out Your Big Girl Panties Party! You have us attend virtually. I enjoyed your blog. I am one of those who needs to weigh every Sunday morning religiously. Now that doesn't mean I have replaced religion, but it means it was a Sunday morning when I started my journey. I am a serious creature of habit. The good news is I get real joy on being down, even .5. I wish I could feel confident enough to avoid the scale. I also measure once per month and that is also very exciting!

This blog made me smile! You are defiantly very motivating and reminding of others that that sometimes the scale is not the way to go. I really need to keep that in mind.

So glad that you are seeing changes!

I LOVE love love it when someone talks about seeing changes outside the scale. I am one of those people who gets focused on the scale and freaks out over little "normal" changes. Yay you for the realization that this journey is about HEALTH and weight loss is about more than numbers. And, good luck at Vicki's . . . hope you find something practical and something sexy!
