Tianna - oh I get tired after a mile LOL, it takes me about three miles to tune my head out of my body. My body is usually screaming at me after a mile and a half and it takes me double that time to tell my body that it is controlled by my head and my brain wants to keep running so it'll have to follow suit.
Chris - I initially wanted to do 10 miles on my first day back but after I ran 3, I knew 4 would be pushing it and then I had to lap back around so I settled on 8 :)

Sandy - yes running does eventually bother my shins when I begin to over do it and I over most things LOL so I'm hoping that this time around with all the other activities it won't get to that point. I'm thinking I'll just run 3-4 days a week and still maintain everything else.

Natalia - yes my two steak days have been blessings, first one was 5.8 lbs and this one was 4.8 lbs - I totally don't mind them anymore as long as it's on a Sunday.

Beach - :) had to find something motivating to run to LOL

Too cute! Oh my goodness, here I am couch to 5K trying to build up for the 14th . . . you go out 1st day and do 8 miles? AMAZING. I didn't know you ran! 1/2 marathon? Hats off to you! The most I've ever done is 6 miles. I know what you mean though about basically being in tune with your body as you run, it is meditative and feels "right". Each time I've done a steak day has been FANTASTIC in results. Seriously, like 3-6 pound drops and as I've mentioned I tend to lose on the smaller side . . . so YOU should really have amazing results. Good Luck! emoticon

HOW do you run 8 miles on the FIRST day? You are a crazy workout-aholic!!! seriously girl. Your net calories (when you eat a regular day) has to be VERY low with all that working out. OMG! I cannot run. I wish I could. But I suck. I get side cramps. I get itchy legs (like hives!). You are amazing!!!! I'm super jealous.

I definitely need to start running! Congrats on your 8 miles, that is more than I could ever do. After 4 miles I'm ready to walk the rest of the way. I agree that you will definitely see that guy again. I think he should have said something also...atleast a little small talk.

I've heard the steak day works. My fingers are crossed for you. I can't wait to find out what happens. ~T

I bet you will see that guy again and maybe he'll work up the courage to approach you. hehe! Love it! Great idea to pitch the almonds. Hope the steak day works and do your best to stay on your plan this week so you don't have to "correct" too often. Eat your veggies and take your vitamins (in my best Mom voice)! LOL! Have a great week girlie!

BTW, 8 miles is very ambitious for your first time back at it. You go girl!

I would love to run, but then again the old bones will not take the strain. Sounds like you found an admirer soon maybe you will have a running buddy. I am glad you enjoyed your run and hope the steak day works again, it should and I have faith in the protocol.
Your doing great, get some rest you have a busy week ahead. Sandy
