All About My Daddy!

Saturday, July 30, 2011

This is AQUAPOWERS 10 year-old daughter, Ashley speaking. I think my daddy starting to run is bad and good. This is why.
It is bad because I use to love to hug my daddy all the time but now he has a "6-pack" so it hurts my face ( I'm really short ) every time I hug him. This may sound weird but, yes I lost my pillow! Also, I can only run with him for 3 miles or less and I sometimes miss him on his "LSD's".
It is good because he said I could run the apple harvest 5-k in Southington,CT. The race is coming up soon so I get to spend a lot of fun time training. I can't stop thinking about it (or all of the yummy apple fritters! ) I also like to read Runner's World from time to time. ( Ha, ha )

Ashley, you sound like an amazing person! Give your daddy all the hugs you can before and after his LDR's. Those can really keep us parents moving. Good luck on your Apple Harvest 5-k!

That is awesome! My son sometimes get bummed out when I take off for my LSDs, too, but he's really proud of his running mom! There are good and not-so-good things that come with running, but what a great example to set for our kids! Cute article!
