#1: I am oh-so-proud of myself for doing back to back runs last night and this morning. Last night I ran along the river on the wonderful Animas trail in 86-degree weather at dusk, passing strolling couples and tourists eating on restaurant patios and people biking home from work. This morning I changed it up and ran up and down the two main business streets in Durango, starting with Main Avenue and moving up to 2nd Ave. While the overall vibe is sleepy at both dusk and dawn, the mornings are filled with more purpose. The coffee shop is putting out its sidewalk tables, the French bakery is loading up their delivery truck, the brewery is being cleaned. I think I love mornings best, as long as I can drag my sorry butt out of bed. Last night, I set my alarm clock for a half hour earlier than when I actually wanted to get up, because I knew it would take me a few snooze cycles to wake up. When the alarm actually went off, I thought about sleeping in a bit and doing the elliptical at the gym later, but I'm so glad I didn't. It's better to run around town, smiling at other sleepy-eyed locals and wide-eyed tourists getting ready to take the train to Silverton, feeling my ponytail bounce and matching my breath with my footfalls, and walking to the coffee shop when all is said and done for a much needed cool down/caffeine boost...
#2: These three pictures make me stop and stare for a long, long time. I'm not quite sure this is what I want, but HOLY COW THESE GIRLS ARE AMAZING!

#3: I am up to 170 lbs but I'm feeling pretty good. I think I have more muscle because i am definitely more toned than the last time I was at 170. It's a full 15 or so pounds more than when I was in Lake Powell last year, but I am still planning on wearing a bikini. I may not look like the girls above, but I don't feel like I look any worse than last year, when I wore bikinis with pride! Speaking of Lake Powell, we leave in 7 days! Time for cliff jumping, bathtub-warm water, fishing, skinny-dipping, margaritas, water skiing, slot-canyon and ruin exploring, and lots of time for reading and napping :)
Have a great Friday, guys!
