Today is better...

Today is better, but I'm too low on fat and protein. Time to rock out the protein shakes. I finally got my ice cream for dessert tonight! I'm happy. Not sure how to up my protein. Don't tell me to eat more beans. I have this odd thing where I'm trying to avoid all fake sugars, except for stevia, gluten, soy, peanuts... Can't really go too far on that sometimes. I know, I sound like a broken record, don't I? Well, one step at a time!

    Whey powder is a boon for those of us that are looking to up our protein levels!

    I use Jarrow's Unflavored Whey, I order it from Vitacost.com because it comes to my door, is far less than what its selling for at Sprouts and if I spend over $49 shipping is free.

    As for fats, many of us take fish oil. Its great for mood and your nerves. I use Carlson's Finest Lemon Flavor, which comes in a bottle...pour a teaspoon on my salad or veggies or put it in smoothies.

    Olive oil and coconut oil are two other choices. If you're using olive oil, go for one in a dark container that is "Extra Virgin" as that one has the most beneficials in it. Coconut oil, the same thing. Its great for stir frying. Organic if you can afford it.
