Carbs my problem?

Friday, February 23, 2007

I am losing two pounds a week as long as I eat right and excercise but I WISH I could lose MORE!! like 5 pounds a week. I think I am going back to eating that subway special 3 times a day. I was losing 3 pounds a week eating there. I guess you can say the lord has blessed me with a 17 pounds weight loss and I am just not satisfied. I need to take some pictures of my current 10 pound weight loss and post them so I can see what 10 pounds lost looks like on me. That will be good motivation I think. I am so hungry right now. I want mcdonalds or something gooood!!! I eat and still I am hungry. I wonder if this means my metabolism is high. Like I just ate half a piece of baked chicken with .5 cup of brown rice and .4 cup of green beans and .1 cup of low fat cream of mushroom and .4 cup of brocolli and I AM HUNGRY!! I have went over my cal intake and right at my fat intake mark and I am still hungry. Why is this?

Slow and steady gf. Slow and steady. Are you excercising more than what you were? Are you at your high end calorie range or low? If you're at the low...eat more if you're hungry. It's obvious that your body is telling you something. Maybe you should add more protein and fat next week? Maybe that'll fill you up?

You honestly should NEVER want to loose more then 2 pounds a week. Slow & Steady wins the race. Who wants to worry with excess skin? Loosing at a slow pace helps to prevent that problem, because you're toning and sculpting, allowing the skin to stretch back into place. Don't set yourself up for failure or set your expectations too high.
I don't know if carbs are your problem though. I eat a ton of carbs, like 60% of my calories come from carbs (mainly complex of course). It helps me. But our bodies are all so different. Try switching things up and eating more protein instead maybe and see what happens. Do you eat 5/6 small meals, or 3? Do you eat lots of fruits and veggies? How much water are you drinking?
