Hey all! I miss you !
I have been on the site, but only for tracking. Been WAY TOO BUSY to hang out online much.
Work is the same as always. I am really pretty fed up there. The schedule stinks, there is not enough help, and it isn't going to get any better. I have started seriously looking for something else. I have applied for a position with my daughter's company that I would LOVE to have. Weekday hours, closer to home, and with my daughter and grandson on site. It couldn't get much better than that, so cross your fingers for me.
My yard is coming along nicely. I have gotten a lot of fitness minutes in there! I have hit a bit of a snag in that my chainsaw is dead. Luckily, my weed eater is a monster and holding up well. I cleared about a half acre of brier bushes in about 3 days. (I looked like I had done battle with a pride of feral cats for about a week after that, but it was worth it!) If I can figure out how to squeeze a new chainsaw out of my squeeky tight budget, I should be able to meet my goal of reclaiming my yard by the end of the summer. I will probably wait and post new pics then.
My running schedule has not been very consistent, but my pace is holding pretty steady. I am planning on participating in the Coleman 5K in Sidney this Saturday. Hopefully that will jump start me back to progressing towards my 10K this fall. I will post a report afterwards to help get my accountability back.
Nutrition has been a little bit hit and miss. I still track almost every day, but planning ahead has not been happening. Some days I do really well, and other I end up a little high. Nothing too bad though. I will be glad when I have the time to really focus in again so that I can make better progress. This last month I only lost 3 pounds. It is progress, I know, but not the kind I want to be making.
I have, however, made a major milestone:
50 POUNDS GONE!!! (WOOT! WOOT! WOOT!!!!!!)
I still have 25 to go, but just making that level feels REALLY AWESOME! People stop me still and say that I have undergone a major transformation. My SIL joked last night that my son (whom I haven't seen since Christmas) won't even recognize me. He is probably right, as I don't even recognize me most of the time. I have gone from a Sedentary 205 pound woman to an Active 155 pound woman. I am still "Overweight" and in the middle of that range, but I do FEEL SO MUCH BETTER!
I have to work, sometimes, to remember that I am only 2/3 of the way "there". It is hard to do, sometimes. It has been so long since I was at this weight, that it is hard to imagine being at goal.
But I WILL get there. I WILL continue. I WILL still be active here (once I get past the busiest part of the year), because my dear sparkfiends do make all the difference in the world. THANK YOU!
Until next time: Spark on, My friends!
