And, to think that I thought you were getting all 'artsy' with the black and white video...when come to find out it's your software program! Ugh! ;-) LOL!
The self-care that you were talking about (e.g.- double earrings, mani/pedi, new shoes, etc.) are really important 'love rewards' that are essential and help us to demonstrate that we have value and that we are important, as well as to recognize our accomplishments! Keep up the GREAT job!
You mentioned 'day by day' and setting periodic weight goals along with a more defined approach towards your weight loss journey. This is a wonderful idea because if we don't have 'direction' or at least a 'map' to help us get there ...how are we going to arrive there?...Without this structure we are leaving our success in the hands of 'hope!'
And, I don't know about you but this 'hope' girl isn't too successful without her best friend 'action!' LOL!
The 'detours' that you talked about are inevitable in life. And, as for the relationship that didn't go as well as you had anticipated...the bright side is that you gave of yourself to someone else. While you may have lost your identity in the process (which is very common) you now have a new door to open in your life. And, that NEW door, while it may be scary and uncertain, will allow you to develop into your fullest potential and the version of YOU that you want to become! Sometimes (OK, the majority of times) previous relationships allow us to see and learn more about ourselves than we would have been able to had we NOT been in that particular relationship.
And, last but not least....CONGRATS on the 50 lb. weight loss! That is AMAZING! Woo Hoo!!! As for the remaining 30-37 lbs. that you want to lose just take it day by day. But, then again, I think you already knew that, huh? ;-)
