Well, I went on hiatus for a few months. I see the last time I posted a blog was back in April. I am fortunate in that I'm still losing weight, probably thanks to a painkiller for this frozen shoulder nonsense that has the side effect of being quite an appetite suppressant. BUT...fitness went right out the window. I've still been walking every day but only a bit over a mile.
We took a quick trip up to Noosa, on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland last month. So beautiful! We did a bit of hiking in the National Parks and I came to the realisation that I might well be satisfied with losing 20 pounds and a bit...but my poor overworked body still needs to be at a normal, lighter weight. The combination of years on my feet for work and carrying sometimes 75+ extra pounds has taken a toll on my knees. I can walk for hours on level or gently undulating land....but throw in steps and I'm done. My right knee complains and continues to complain for days.
So I am back. I'm still not tracking food but it needs to start soon. My daughter wants to get started again too so we are resuming our daily walks. We started today. I forgot my "spedometer" but I think the route we took is somewhere around 2.5 miles. Can you say whipped? I was whipped by the time we got home.
For the last month I've had several recurring dreams - in one I see a scale with the weight 174 lbs. And in others, I am all decked out in a wonderful Regency get-up (think Pride and Prejudice) and I am thin and glamourous. So this must be a sign.
