Juice Cleanse & Pickles

So, I am doing a juice cleanse. Why? I'm not sure lol. I just think my body needs it. I have a few veggies that I don't want to go bad so I'm going to eat those but other than that, it's just juice. I bought a 32oz bottle of cranberry pomegranate juice and a 32oz bottle of carrot juice...$10 all together, so we'll see how this works.
I'm also going to try making pickles. I bought a canning rack and jar remover tongs from amazon for $20. My mom is sending me some fresh garden dill. So all that's left is to buy jars, cucumber, salt, and spices. It's definitely not cheaper than buying jarred pickles, but I really want to learn how to can. Eventually I want to be able to can fruits and vegetables. In the long run, I think this investment will pay off. Unfortunately, in order to properly can low acid fruits and vegetables (a big chunk of them are low-acid) you must use a pressure cooker rather than a regular boiling water bath. As I have to way of taking a pressure cooker home after graduating from MZ, there's no point in buying one here. I can learn here and if I like it, do it more at home and get all the supplies. So we'll see how this goes.
