Just thinking how lucky I am to have such good health. Not that I don't take care to ensure that I maintain my good health.

I was recently having problems with skin blemishes and skin itch. I am a believer in you are what you eat. After experimenting with various foods, I decided to try low carb for a while. NOT no carb. As you all know, we need complex carbs in our diet. It is what gives us energy to do the things we love to do. I have eliminated all bread, sweets and unnecessary sugars from my diet. My skin has cleared and the added bonus is that I have lost 8 pounds since the beginning of February.

    I think the important part of this for me was hearing "not 'no' carb". I think we can still eat the foods we like, but have to eat less of what we like. Not an easy thing to do, and it is easy to get derailed with good company or even a bad situation.

Congrats on the 8 pounds gone Merilyn, and showing that perseverance pays off!
