Week 1 Review

Saturday, July 23, 2011

Well despite YD's best efforts at sabotage I managed a 1lb loss. Mainly due to exercise I think and trying to limit the damage of all the lovely cakes made by the YD.

For two days she spent the entire day cooking cakes and biscuits at school and then bringing them home for us to eat. You can't refuse a 13 year old who is really proud of all her hard work. they were delicious and she enjoyed it.

We managed to take some to my PIL and I put a few in the freezer once we had tried them, so maybe the DH and DD's can have then during the school hols on the days I am at work.

Anyway off for another week. Having a rest day on the exercise today (did a 2.1 mile run last night) as tomorrow is the 5K Race for Life for me and the DD's DH is coming as Taxi / Valuables holder and to cheer us on.

We have matching Pink T shirts so I will try and get a photo of the three of us after the race. I hope to finish way ahead of the DD's they have never run more than a mile or so and this is my 4th 5K of the season and I have always run all the race so far even the last one when my hamstring was really sore. Not looking for a good time as with over 3500 taking part getting across the start line and into my running pace will take a while. Next timed race is 2nd August on the same route as the one at the beginning of July. Only trouble with that one is we have been invited for a cream tea on the afternoon of the race.

Anyway busy today doing tidying up need to make space for another hamster as we are hamster sitting for two weeks. Then when we go away (3 weeks today - I am getting really excited now) our friends will have our hamster. Just hope they become friends as they are spending 4 out of the next 6 weeks in cages next to each other.

Happy Sparking Friends
