I love change, so I was happy to run across a recommendation on Amazon.com to check out Kelly Coffey-Meyer’s 30-Minutes to Fitness DVD. I liked her flat stomach on the cover. Something I have always dreamed of possessing but have never achieved.
I ordered the DVD last month and I’ve been using it three times a week since then. I noticed yesterday that I can now use 8 pound weights instead of the 5 I started out with. In the beginning, I could only do half of the ab exercises but, today, I actually only skipped the last 4 repetitions.
This DVD has two 30 minute work outs: back/legs/chest and biceps/triceps/shoulders. You can do them along with the ab exercises or choose the routine that skips them.
I like Coffey-Meyer’s no nonsense presentation, no extra words to explain what to do, just the movements, and encouragement along the way. There are two other women exercising along with her for intermediate and beginner viewers.
I love this DVD. I sweat like a glass of ice tea on a hot summer day while working out with her, which tells me I’m really working my butt off. I like that she doesn’t pamper the viewer but urges her to really push herself.
The DVD back cover boasts that the routine will build strength (it already has for me); increase muscle definition (I suspect it will do this once I lose a little bit more weight and continue to use the workout); and achieve the body you’ve always wanted.
We’ll see. I’ll keep you updated.
