I think I found my new mantra. And even if it's only for a little while, it works for me. Here it is:
The only way to do it is to do it.
I read it in a book a while back (it was similar, I don't think it's exactly what was in the book...) and I have been thinking about it a lot lately. It applies to almost anything. Painting the closet room? It's not going to get done by itself. Putting together a table and then taking out the trash? The cardboard isn't going to walk itself out to the garage.
Phone calls? They aren't going to get made just by wishing. Getting stronger? Thinking about it isn't going to make it happen.
Tonight I have to go pick up my veggies and then I'm meeting a friend for dinner. I have been wanting sushi... mmm.
I made it to the gym today. Tomorrow afternoon I have to go get a mole removed (ugh) so I don't know how long I'm not going to be able to go to the gym. The mole is on my freakin' forehead. Not smack in the middle, but still. Luckily, it's in a place where my hair can cover it easily. Sigh...
Off to take out the trash...
