God's sense of humor

Monday, July 18, 2011

It has been more than 21 days since our last "good" rain. We have been praying for rain, before we turn to dust and blow away, like a dust storm in Arizona. Today with the sun shinning and very few clouds, it rained. Ten big drops, but it looked like rain to me. When you haven't had any rain for long periods of time, any amount falling from heaven, is welcome. The next time I pray for rain, I will have to be more specific!

We had some rain for a few days. We really need more also since we were in a drought not having rain for months.

Ha Ha! I keep asking our Lord for a big downpour, lasting a week, but so far He has not seen fit to grant my wish. I know though, that in HIS time, it will happen! It will be such a relief!

Speaking of Arizona! My MIL called me last night from South of Tuscon and she said, "I just had to brag, we are having a downpour!" We need rain here so badly, too! We had .60 over the 4th of July but not a real good rain since last October and not much snow, either.

    Hi There Alan...
We have the same problem. I went to plant some more beans yesterday and the dirt is like concrete ! ! !
Lo and Behold, at 2:00 this morning, we had rain. We must have gotten what you didn't...
Thank Goodness our town is on a hill, as all I'm hearing about is the flooding and road closures on the News...
So Hot and Sticky here and with the rain, I guess it will be even worse.
Feast or Famine ! ! !

Funny! I guess you do need to be more specific.
We need rain here too but I suppose that is normal for July in a desert. We were driving back from a town 2 hour away tonight & it poured out in the middle of nowhere but when we got home it hadn't rained a drop here.
